Vegas Pro 18 Hangs While Importing MP4 from SJCAM

Hey folks. I have a project I started on a Windows 8.1 Pro machine running Vegas Pro 18. I've imported 4K60p media from both my Panasonic GH5 with .MOV files and SJCAM SJ10Pro .MP4 files. While my Win8 machine is undergoing repairs, I pulled out my older Win10 machine to fill in. Vegas Pro on Win 10 will not import the MP4 files from the same project. I've tried to copy just the media files (without the reference and proxy files) to a different drive with the same result. It will load up the MOV files just fine and this project opens and has hours of edits already done on the Windows 8.1 machine. Both my 10 and 8.1 machines are intel systems, both are x64 OS, both have the same software installed and are using the same version of Vegas Pro 18. This project has hours of edits already done on the Windows 8.1 machine using both file formats with no issues. I have my settings identical on both machines. The only major difference is the OS and hardware.

Vegas Pro will just sit there with the hourglass and report Not Responding in the program title bar. I've left it for many hours to see if it would change but it eventually crashes. I have tried the latest update with no change.

Vegas Pro 18 (Build 373)

@TheBurns Make sure that you are online in case VP needs to activate a codec.

Maybe VP is using, leaning on a built in OS codec, audio or video, thats no longer available in Win 10 OS?

Try transcoding a test sample. You can use a small utility VFR2CFR in my signature, requires ffmpeg utilities to be downloaded, Handbrake can also be used.

If its only the audio that needs changing, (unlikely though, it's already AAC) use the other util in my signature to copy the video and convert the audio. Maybe supply a sample mp4 for users to test if that doesn't work.
