Vegas Pro 19/20 - any one got a solution to these two issues please?

Max-Hind wrote on 1/30/2023, 10:34 AM

I have been using Vegas pro since version 10 but have some issues with 19 and 20 that are very frustrating and I have not had before.

On both Vegas Pro 19 (version 550 as I found this the most stable) and 20 - If I click off Vegas for any reason (to look at a website or open a folder outside of vegas) when I go back to it it hangs (spinning circle) for a long time ( and often crashes). This seems crazy, surely there must be a solution ?

On Vegas Pro 20 if I do a manual save the program often gets very "laggy" after the save. The only way I have found to sort it out is to close the program and then re-open.

Often when I open vegas its says the last session didn't close properly ( but it had closed properly with no issues) so not sure if this is a factor?

Note I have not updated Vegas 20 to V326 yet as I am mid way through a big project..

I have two very high spec PCs (one running windows 10 and one running windows 11) and it happens on both of them.

If any one can help with a solution for these it would be much appreciated

Options - Preferences - uncheck the "Close media when not the activate application."

Hub Explorer tab, turn off the "Create project collection" option.

@Max-Hind If I click off Vegas for any reason (to look at a website or open a folder outside of vegas) when I go back to it it hangs (spinning circle) for a long time

Have you tried it with this check box unchecked?

On Vegas Pro 20 if I do a manual save the program often gets very "laggy" after the save.

Are you using VP365 (the subscription option)? If you are, try turning off Create Project Collection.
