Vegas Pro 19 crashes on startup when connected to the internet.

This is a very new problem. I used it less than an hour ago and closed it normally, and haven't had a crash at startup ever. I have it set by default to start up without a project loaded.

After trying a bunch of different things, on a whim (because v20 just had a patch release and I know the servers might be overloaded) I disabled my Ethernet adapter, disconnecting my PC from the internet. The program started right up, no issues. I re-enabled the adapter and tried to start up a 2nd instance. Crash at startup. Disabled the adapter and was able to get a 2nd instance running. Reconnected, tried to get a 3rd instance, and crash. So I made this thread.

Any ideas? This is a registered, legally purchased copy and have only used 1 of 2 activations. Looking at my profile it says it was last activated on May 1st, but I've definitely used it on the 2nd and today.

Seems I'm not the only one, after looking at recent posts in other threads. DISCONNECTING FROM THE INTERNET FIXED IT FOR ME. Reconnect after successful startup.

This worked for me as well... Annoying to disable my internet every time I want to open the software, but it works...

FWIW I opened 5 instances while disconnected. Reconnected, and when I had a crash due to normal Vegas shenanigans, I just moved to one of the already open instances. When they fix this thing, opening multiple instances might still be my MO. I have to admit it was nice to just reopen the project immediately, instead of getting to the shortcut and waiting for it to load. Sad that this is where I am but yeah.

Thank you NOVAdash for figuring this out and posting the temporary solution! Vegas was crashing for me every time right after the opening splash screen said "Initializing Scripting." I unplugged the Ethernet cable from the back of my PC, and Vegas runs. I think Magix must have something screwed up on their website such that when Vegas checks to see if there is an update available (or one of their annoying ads) it results in the crash.

Thank you for the recognition! If I had a nickel to bet, I'd put this on a security certificate expiration issue.
