Vegas Pro 19 Credit Roll Freezing

alexavil wrote on 3/28/2025, 7:08 AM

There's a strange issue with Vegas Pro 19 (Steam Edition) and its Credit Roll generator, where the whole program just freezes while switching languages (Shift + Alt or Win + Spacebar) inside of the Credit Roll window. There are no errors, and the program doesn't get the "Not Responding" status, however I can't close the window or click anything.

Apparently, you have to be editing the text for it to happen.

Essentially, the program gets frozen in this state.

GPU: Intel(R) UHD Graphics + NVIDIA GeForce MX110 (2 GB VRAM)

Storage: 256 GB SSD + 1 TB HDD
OS: Windows 10

That's likely the bug that was fixed in VP 21:

Editing with the Credit Roll plugin will no longer cause a hang

You might want to generate text outside of VEGAS and copy and paste into it if that helps?

Also your NVIDIA GPU is under the minimum specs for VEGAS but I assume VEGAS doesn't try to use it.
Does the entire system only have 6GB of ram? If it's possible to upgrade that I would.

@RogerS I see, then I'll have to import the text instead as I can't upgrade to 21/22 just now (a bit hard to do that in my region).

(Apparently @zzzzzz9125's solution worked, but the upgrade portion is still valid)

My system specs are not so great as I'm using a laptop. VEGAS is the only NLE that runs decently on it (coming back from Resolve, which crashed my video driver and eventually stopped launching at all). I can still take advantage of Intel QSV which helps with rendering time. Besides, I don't do heavy 4K editing, so it works for me.
