Vegas Pro 19 has stopped working on shutdown

There is a quite detailed release history here which details the bug fixes made to date. It looks like a triage process where the ones that are most complained about and destructive get addressed first, which is how it should be. Of course that's small consolation to a user who is bothered by a particular bug that remains for years.

The Magix website publishes a list of minimum requirements to run Vegas Pro, most users, including myself, are operating machines with specs well above these requirements, yet still the bugs are bypassed in newer versions.

@Cmin7669 Hi, i was just reading the latest comments & was curious about this comment, so i had a look through your past comments, are you still using the NVIDIA GTX 1080 TI? if so would you add it to your Signature, thanks, like i say i was just curious but only the driver is mentioned 👍

@Cmin7669, I appreciate your well-reasoned and calmly stated comment. I'm not being snide...I sincerely do. That's the kind of discourse that's helpful to me, the team, and the community at large.

I understand your pain, and feel the same pain myself. Frankly, I'm playing a balancing act. As you rightly point out, there are unresolved bugs, and some of them are as old as you say. We have taken on periods where we've spent weeks doing little but bug fixes and performance/stability work. At the same time, the realities of a highly competitive marketplace dictate that we have to keep introducing new, useful features.

In other words, we need to find a balance between spending all our time making the software more stable for you existing users and spending all of it cranking out new features that will attract new users. It is, to be sure, not an easy balance to strike.

I haven't always gotten it right. But one thing's for certain, it's not a stain on the quality of engineers we have working on this project. Most people will be shocked to find out just how few people we have given the amount we've accomplished. To do what we've done with the small staff we have, well, it makes me quite proud, and thus I get defensive as you sometimes see when my emotion gets the better of me here.

Perhaps it's inadvisable for me to be speaking this frankly on a public forum, but you users deserve to understand why we do the things we do that may seem illogical or lazy or sloppy or...greedy...to you. Rest assured that no one on the VEGAS team fits any of those descriptors.
