Vegas Pro 19 - Import Mocha Pro Tracking Data

Vegas_Pro_Brasil wrote on 8/21/2021, 10:25 AM

One of the new features of Vegas pro 19 is Import Mocha Tracking Data: Import tracking data from the Mocha plugin into the VEGAS Pro Motion Tracking tool where you can apply it to video and objects in your VEGAS Pro project.

But I can't import Mocha Pro tracking data into Vegas Pro 19 Motion Tracking. Am I doing something wrong? Has anyone else tested this new functionality?

I think this works only for the data of the mocha stand-alone application not for the plug-in.

@Marco. The tracking data is the same in the Mocha Pro Standalone version and in the Mocha Pro plugin version.

@Vegas_Pro_Brasil - Well, MP has already a Plugin into VP, why would they be allowing us to Import Tracking DATA? I see this for those who have the SA MP version only.

And another thing, I don't see a way to save the Tracking DATA from inside the OFX for VP - it just ain't there, it's there for many, many NLEs, but I'm not seeing anything about VP19?

Here's the "option" to import MP Tracking Data:

If you get anywhere with this, do tell.

@Vegas_Pro_Brasil - I see you used the After Effects (?) maybe that's why? Dunno...

I also tried the standalone version of Mocha to no avail. Regardless of whether the Mocha version is Standalone or OFX Plugin, this option to import trace data is necessary so that any editing program can correctly use the track data created in Mocha. Magix engineering got that right this.

And another thing, I don't see a way to save the Tracking DATA from inside the OFX for VP - it just ain't there, it's there for many, many NLEs, but I'm not seeing anything about VP19?

At 30 seconds of my screen recording I am shown the option to export the tracking data.

I see you used the After Effects (?) maybe that's why? Dunno...

I tried to export in all available .txt and .shape4ae formats which in theory are supported in Motion Track VP19. Unfortunately Vegas Motion Track didn't accept any of the options.

@Vegas_Pro_Brasil - Yup, a complete mystery. Maybe @VEGASDerek would like to step in and comment?
