Vegas Pro 19 Static Noise on Speakers

I just upgraded to Vegas Pro 19 on my Windows 10 laptop (I still have 14 installed). Once I launch Vegas Pro, any audio on my PC is accompanied by a loud static hiss, even after closing Vegas. Restarting the computer fixes the issue, but as soon as I launch Vegas Pro, it's back. This is only happening to the laptop speakers - the noise is not there if I connect my headphones or switch to the audio device on my external monitor. I have found some topics here and elsewhere online that refer to the same issue, but none of them seem to have a clear-cut solution. I have tried going into the internal settings and changing "Enable So4 Compound Reader for AVC/M2TS" to FALSE as one YouTube video suggested, but this has not fixed the issue. Can anyone help me out? I never had this issue using Vegas Pro 14 on the same machine.

Did you also install Sound Forge Studio? There were some problems with it and its asio driver which Vegas loads on startup.

Maybe it's unrelated but worth a try to uninstall Sound Forge temporarily.

Uninstalling Sound Forge actually did fix the problem, thank you! It's not a product I was really planning to use anyway, but I would have given it a look at some point, so it's unfortunate that it caused this issue.
