Vegas Pro 20.0 (Build 370) Freezes every time I try to save a project

Hello,

I can import media, mix and edit it however I please, render it successfully, but if I try to save my progress by pressing 'save' or 'save as' even if it's a completely blank project the entire program freezes. I've tried (in this order):

Waiting it out

Checking for updates

Checking for Graphics Card updates

Rebooting PC

Reinstalling Vegas Pro 20.0

I've been successfully using Vegas Pro 20.0 including saving, rendering, ETC since 20.0 was released, and 19.0 before it, the only issue I have it is freezes sometimes if I pause/play in too quick a succession, which is why I make a habit of saving my project frequently so I don't lose progress.

I'm running Windows 11.

My GPU is an ASUS RTX 3090 TI.

My CPU is an Intel I9-11900k @ 3.50 GHz.

Program is installed to NVMe SSD with over 1TB free.

Maybe you previously saved on a device that is no longer connected? (A thumb drive, etc.) You can try to reset your settings to default using this thread: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-can-i-reset-vegas-pro-to-default-settings--104646/ Hopefully that sets you straight.

Does "Advanced Save" from the Tools also not work?

On a system that has been fully functional til today Vegas PRO 20 build 411 freezes on "save" i looked at the "Create Project Creation" (i suppose it is actually "Collection" not Creation") selector but it was off by default. Tried a re-install - no help..

SOLUTION: Seems it was only happening when saving a new project for the first time and when i just closed the new project with the X button the pop up query to save? worked with a yes. The project then opened, saved, and closed as usual.
