I have a 4:35 movie on the timeline. VP20 B411's RAM usage is 2,094MB.
Dragging BCC Particle Illusion onto a 24 second clip on the timeline, then within the Video Event FX>PI, I select FX Browser. Vegas RAM used is now 9.3GB. I click "Cancel" in the PI window and am back that the Video Event FX window.
Within the Video Event FX window, clicking on the little red "fx" (Remove selected plug-in), BCC Particle Illusion is removed, but Vegas holds onto a lot of that RAM that was used when adding PI to the video clip. It is at 9GB right now. This happens all the plugins in BCC Particles in Continuum Complete 2023.5.
Exiting Vegas and restarting, sometimes it won't fully load up and stalls while loading because Vegas is still there holding onto the RAM in Task Manager.
I tested using the same procedure in Resolve 18 Studio to see if it was a Boris problem or a Vegas problem. In Resolve, it released the Boris RAM when it was canceled or deleted from a clip in the Inspector.
