Vegas Pro 20 - Gopro (mp4) import failed

Hi everyone 👋

I have a problem when I import MP4 files shot with a go pro.

All my files have a glitch like if video import failed.
My files aren't corrupted : I can play it easily in VLC, and I already tried to import the same files to Premiere and davinci and it worked fine.

Maybe it's a codec problem and I don't know why.
I'm not good at video encoding so I'm kind of lost with all of that. 😱🤯

The weird thing with with that problem is : I am able to see the image in the preview until I use it in the timeline.

We can see in the image below that I only used the seccond media.

I'm using the trial version of version 20 and I'd like to buy the software but only if this works on my laptop.

I got 20 days remmaining of trial version, I hope I will find a solution before 🤣

after 2 months, support answered me to convert my files. So I finally decided to go to another software since vegas was the only one freezing😭

Be sure to update Radeon drivers as old ones are known to have glitches.

Otherwise I'm not sure why GoPro AVC wouldn't work well in VP 20.
HEVC support was just fixed in the recent Vegas update.

I have a GeForce RTX 3060 driver 512.96. You might check the driver versions on both cards.

oh nice thank you for ideas, I'm gonna try this. I don't have access to the trial anymore, maybe they will accept to reschedule the end of the trial to do that 😬I going to ask. But i won't pay now if it doesn't work 😭
