We've found the only way for us to edit reliably in V20 (without frequent crashes) is to enable legacy AVC file decode after which it's really quite solid. Using the newer decode (not checking the "enable legacy" box) but setting Hardware Decoder to "off" does *not* make it as stable as enabling legacy decode.
This is my experience with both AMD RX470 (desktop) and also NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU. Both also have Intel graphics onboard.
Unfortunately, the legacy decoder can't ready ATEM-recorded files, so I'm forced to uncheck the box and deal with the inefficiency of frequent crashing.
Does anyone with inside scoop know if work is being done to improve stability of the non-legacy AVC decoding?
