Vegas Pro 20 version 411 crashed and stopped working while rendering

Vegas Pro 20 (Build 411) is crashing (BSOD) and freezing frequently during the rendering process at low percentages (25% or 50%). I have encountered this issue seven times in total. I have Windows 11 Pro.

1. I turned GPU Acceleration off, it is not working.

2. I imported my original project to my new project, it is working. I watched on YouTube:

I don't know why it did crash my computer and stop working. Can you suggest any solutions?

Problem:

Blue screens should never happen. Are you sure the computer isn't overheating or having voltage issues when rendering? A free tool like hwinfo64 can help you track them. https://www.hwinfo.com/download/

You are rendering using MagixAVC with Mainconcept? That is 100% CPU-based encoding.

Another user with a similar error addressed it by cleaning his computer case. https://creativecow.net/forums/thread/render-crash-unmanaged-exception-0xc0000005/

What is your CPU?

Hi.

My computer is not overheating, it is about 30 Celsius (I use Corsair Dashboard.), or doesn't have voltage issues. I will look at hwinfo64.

I use MagixAVC/AAC MP4.

My CPU is 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900K.

Thanks for that. Regarding voltage, that can be trickier to diagnose as it can cause issues both at load and when going back to idle. It took me a bit to get good stable settings for my 13th gen Intel.

Did you apply the Intel fixes via motherboard bios for the i9-13900K?

Does it pass a stress test with https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/17881/29183/intel-extreme-tuning-utility-intel-xtu.html

I chose “Magix HEVC/AAC MP4” for my original project, it is working and my CPU doesn’t get 100%, 50% to 70% on Task Manager, which is the solution.

I am suspicious that “Magix AVC/AAC MP4” will be 100% CPU as you said that.

Here my video about I use Magix HEVC/AAC MP4, not Magix AVC/AAC MP4: https://youtube.com/shorts/FIn4Q2N0VrU?feature=share

Also, My PC parts are new from November 2024. I have a new PSU 1000w from the last week November.

The computer should be stable at 100% CPU load. Double check the bios settings for voltage and max wattage make sense. My defaults from MSI were set ridiculously.

That's your CPU fan. See how a 5 or 10 min. stress test does with the Intel tool above.

If not well you can also test out voltage settings with it and bake them into the bios later. There are guides online to under and overclocking.

Ok. Right now, I use "Magix HEVC/AAC MP4," not “Magix AVC/AAC MP4”. It will reach 100% CPU.

Magix HEVC/AAC MP4 is working running without stopping working or BSOD. So, thank you very much!

I also need more amount of thermal paste on my CPU because when I installed the CPU cooler WITH pre-built thermal paste. It seems not enough to me. So, I will get a new "Arctic Silver 5 High-Density Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound."
