deyo29 wrote on 12/17/2023, 7:48 AM

Dear,

I have a problem with Vegas PRO 21 (b.208), I am receiving an error: The system is low on memory.

I have changed settings for memory but still have the same problem.

Any help!?

Thank you in advance

Change dynamic preview back to default of 5% as increasing this takes memory away from Vegas. this error is often associated with low memory on your GPU. What are your system specs and media you are using.

Probably running out of GPU memory. What's the footage? https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-to-post-mediainfo-and-vegas-pro-file-properties--104561/

What's the GPU model?

Why is dynamic ram preview at 75%? Put it back to 5%.

Nothing obvious with your system spec. As Roger asked you could help by using media info (free) to tell what is in the MOV container. https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo

Nothing unusual with media (Roger may know more here), do you have quicktime enabled under options/preferences/depreciated features? Just a thought.

@andyrpsmith

No, nothing is enabled here.

Do i need to have this opetion enabled?

Give it a try

Also the GPU video driver can cause this error so it would also be worth seeing if you have the most recent driver for your card.

Another example with V20 and V21 of low memory error.

Try with mention option enabled and again same problem

Also A "Low Memory" warning can mean that you have exceeded your windows commit limit. You may need a bigger page file ?

@andyrpsmith how and where i can change this?

andyrpsmith wrote on 12/17/2023, 10:00 AM

To locate the page file in Windows 11, you can follow these steps:

Press the Windows key on your keyboard to open the Start menu.

Type “Advanced system settings” in the search bar and select the “View advanced system settings” option.

In the System Properties window, click on the “Advanced” tab.

Under the “Performance” section, click on the “Settings” button.

In the Performance Options window, click on the “Advanced” tab.

Under the “Virtual memory” section, click on the “Change” button.

@deyo29  Just a thought, how much free space is there on your main (C) Drive?

deyo29 wrote on 12/17/2023, 10:26 AM

@Former user more then 100gb, this is not a problem i think...

@andyrpsmith i have install last nvida driver but problem remain.

Now i will try to change "virtual memory"

deyo29 wrote on 12/17/2023, 2:59 PM

@andyrpsmith same problem after all 😏😲

@deyo29,
Maybe I missed it, but did you already tried what @andyrpsmith asked you in the first reaction of your O.P. : "Change dynamic preview back to default of 5% as increasing this takes memory away from Vegas. this error is often associated with low memory on your GPU" , to do at this screen

@undefined

yes, this is first thing i have changed back.

Also try to re-install app, also try build before, but same.

Is is wierd because it was working normaly and i haev render video more then 100min lenght without any problem and now i`m receiving this error message.

Maybe to reintsal win!? I'm desperate 😫

deyo29 wrote on 12/17/2023, 3:54 PM

@andyrpsmith @RogerS @j-v @Former user

I think i have found what is the problem. I have add adjusment event true all video (55min); then i receive mention problem when render.

Now i have remowe adjustment event and render is normal and i export whole video.

This is cool feature and i like it a lot but i dont know why cause such a problem !?

Can this be reported for fix ?

@andyrpsmith I have send problem to support team to check. This is great feature and i wannt to work for biger project`s (longer videos). 😁

RogerS wrote on 12/17/2023, 10:43 PM

Someone else also reported a memory issue with adjustment events and ram issues in VP 21. Thanks for reporting the issue.

I would keep dynamic ram preview at 5 or 10% in general and see there's a mismatch between your project framerate (25) and footage (29.97).
