I suspect that j-v was asking which drive Vegas Pro has been installed on. It should be installed in C:\Program Files\VEGAS\Vegas Pro 21.0, with C:\ being the drive on which the OS is installed.
For fun I put on Corel's video studio, came up fine, an cheap program runs fine a pro program will not even start.
And Acid Music Studio will not install update, I keep getting Error 2147163967 occured during installation
Error Failed to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable (x64)
I have been building computers since the 1980's and Magix stuff never works right. I have been using Vegas since Sony and it only get worse and crashes more.
A program that cannot start should get a refund and let me move on to DaVinci.
I did install Visual C++ manually still did not work.
Vegas Pro still crashing on startup here is the info. I have no idea what it means. Davinci, and every other editor program I installed as a test worked fine everyone except VEGAS PRO. it crashes more than Evil Kinevil.

Your problem is with the BorisFX Continium Complete plugin Package. Uninstall and remove everything Borisfx..... Restart your system and try opening up Vegas and see.
Steve you were correct, Boris was the problem. It would not uninstall the usually way so I manually deleted the files from the sub directories and hidden directories, (I did not mess with the registry). Did a control shift double click on Vegas and it booted right up, closed Vegas and single clicked and worked fine.
Now here is the thing. You probably still gonna need Borsisfx Continium Complete further down the road....... My solution in the past, when Borisfx CC was giving me a bit of an issue, was to simply remove it and install an older version. After that all was smooth sailing. So if you could get your hands an an older BCC plugin version, that would be the best solution / workaround for you in this situation if you really need it..... Just my 2 cents.
I own Vegas Pro Suite since 10 which included various Boris products which are fine but trying to activate them has always been a chore. And I do not know what Boris programs are compatible with Vegas 21. Life was so much simpler with film, snip and splice sync sound...done.
Reviving this month old thread because a similar thing is happening to me. I just installed BorisFX Continium Complete 4 because I need the BCC optical stabilizer that I purchased years ago. In the past, it automatically uninstalled all other Boris FX that weren't licensed, but this time they were not uninstalled when I inserted my license key. They are still all listed in the Vegas effects list. Vegas crashes as soon as I click on any unlicensed BCC plug-in. What folder do I go in to manually delete all the unlicensed plug-ins?
Hey @jimingo-1 , BorisFX Continium Complete is installed within your ofx plugins folder. Generally it is located in C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX\Plugins, may vary slightly depending on your OS..... There you simply delete all BCC folders, do a restart, and you should be good to go.
