Vegas Pro 22

Ehrich-Diede wrote on 6/2/2025, 4:51 PM

Upgraded from Pro21 to Pro22. I save my project in Pro22 but still tries to open in Pro21 which give me the error it was saved with a newer version of Pro22. Only way I can open the project is too open Pro22 and open last project. It won't open if I go to the Vegas file in my project file.

Any suggestions?

That's a windows setting. Look at your file associations. You must have accidentally changed the file association for .veg files back to VP21 at some point.

Every great video editing suite has 3D objects. Why is vegas pro still in the dinosaur age? It's mind boggling that you can't import 3d objects and spin them around in Vegas.

Vegas Pro isn't exactly a video editing suite.

@WesternWheel Please enlighten me. Which great video editing suites are you referring to?

WesternWheel wrote on 6/3/2025, 8:04 AM

The ones everyone else uses that includes manipulating 3D objects.

RogerS wrote on 6/3/2025, 8:10 AM

VEGAS Effects was capable of this.

Vegas Pro isn't exactly a video editing suite.

Vegas Pro is a professional-grade video editing suite. It's known for its non-linear editing capabilities, allowing users to create videos with various effects, transitions, and audio manipulation features. Vegas Pro offers a range of options including Edit, Suite, and Post, each with different levels of features and tools.

Reyfox wrote on 6/3/2025, 8:23 AM

@WesternWheel there no longer is Vegas Post. The difference between Vegas Suite and Vegas Edit are the additional features of Suite vs Edit. Here is a COMPARISON between the two.

As @EricLNZ asked you, "Please enlighten me. Which great video editing suites are you referring to?".

I called Vegas Pro a video editing suite. You want to play with silly semantics. Get real.

Get real... enlighten us which great video suites support your claim. As you wrote above,

The ones everyone else uses that includes manipulating 3D objects.

And what defines "video suite"?

After the solution of @VEGASDerek to the actual question of this topic, topic became very off-topic. Maybe it should be closed by an admin.

@WesternWheel and @James-Presley please start your own topic when you have an issue or something to add. Thanks.

Hope you weren't very offended, nerd.

The issue I raised is pasting in words that appear to be written by AI as your own without any commentary or explanation.
