Vegas Pro 22 : Media disconnected and Latency

Hello everyone, I bought Vegas 22 a few weeks ago now and I had not yet had the opportunity to make a long video montage with it. Before I worked on VP19 and with my configuration which is really excellent in terms of capacity and power (up to 32 GB of RAM), I had no problem making films longer than 1h30. (I allocated 75% of the RAM in the software options and put back the same settings that I had in VP19)
Yesterday evening while continuing my editing (I am about twenty minutes in), my Vegas started to show latency when I exited the software to go and get files on my computer or look for music on the internet, finally as soon as I went outside the software itself. The video files in the timeline go into "disconnected media" status and it takes at least 8 to 10 seconds before the freeze stops. I went to my PC options and I see that it notes that Vegas' use of RAM is very high at that time (about 4 GB and it's orange).
It's weird, especially since I didn't know that with VP19.

Before I didn't use the explorer integrated into Vegas I went directly to the document where my files are and I dropped them into the timeline, since yesterday evening it's been a guaranteed freeze and it's not instantaneous as usual. How could I solve this problem, do you also know the same thing? Is this a known bug in Vegas and can it be solved? Thank you for your insight, I remain available for further information

Untick the option shown below. This is actually from VP21 but 22 is similar.

The default was changed from unticked to ticked with VP22. There are other posts about the change.

wow thank you very much you are my savior! At first glance it works! I was starting to tremble because my edit is going to exceed 20 minutes lol :)
