Hello! I recently got Vegas Pro 22 to help with some audio editing and the speech to text transcript function was appealing. However, I've been unable to import my m4a files with the message "an error occurred while opening one or more files. The reason cannot be determined". I've use Google Recorder so this format is how they export and this files works with QuickTime Player and other software (like Audacity with the FFmpeg library.) The file also appears when I search for m4a yet the file type is marked as unknown.
I've experimented with other m4a files that were recorded on the same device and software (Google Recorder) and these import correctly. Likewise, I tried to enable legacy AVC as others have suggested. As I have several other files with this issue, I'd prefer to figure out the issue and avoid adding extra work of converting each time I get an error message, if possible. Is there something that I can do to fix this (ex. like the FFmpeg library) and has anyone else encountered this issue with Google Recorder? Any help would be appreciated!
