I had Vegas Pro 21 which worked fine but today it stopped working. I was on the edge regarding upgrading to Vegas 23 so I thought I should upgrade to Vegas Pro 23, unfortunately Vegas Pro 23 also gave me the same error. It crashes as soon as I start it and problem report shows this :-
Problem Description
Application Name: VEGAS Pro
Application Version: Version 23.0 (Build 302)
Problem: Unmanaged Exception (0xc0000005)
Fault Module: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll
Fault Address: 0x00007FFA514BC1FE
Fault Offset: 0x000000000001C1FE
Two probable cause that I can think of is that there was a recent windows security update and I updated my CCTV software Blue Iris from version 5 to version 6. Both of this should not cause an issue with Vegas but there hasn't been any other change in my system.
Before posting here I did a google search for troubleshooting and have tired the below mentioned things but it didn't help.
- Restarted my PC.
- Updated GPU driver to the latest version.
- Ran it as administrator.
- Used Control + Shift while starting the software.
- Uninstalled and reinstalled Vegas 23.
- Uninstalled and reinstalled Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable v14.
- In Vegas' installation folder renamed the subfolder named UPS to UPSold.
- Looked to uninstall MS Visual Studio but it wasn't installed.
System details :-
Windows 11, Intel i7 14700k CPU, AMD 7900 XTX GPU, 128 GB Ram.
Please help.
