BTW. Do NOT associate .veg -files to VP8 TRIAL. At least with V7 if you did this you needed to clear the registry manually in order to get rid of that "TRIAL"-text in your .veg -files even after purchasing & registering your app. Even complete reinstall did not cure this.
By the way, I'm showing no media manager installed.
I'm running Windows Vista. I thought the .NET 3.0 was already installed or installed in the automatic updates or something. Pretty sure it's in there. EDIT: I don't see any options to remove it and all I can see for sure is a .NET 3.0 update that was installed back in July.
I thought maybe they were planning a separate download for it given that the installer was half the size of V7. And by the way V7 still has it's own Media Manager still working.
This version was never intended to be the 64-bit version.
Could be. But then again: how could I tell since there is no official announcement which version will be of 64 bit and when it would be available. I would've expected this to be it.
So, now it is the decision point: should I pay for 32-bit VP8 or wait for another 32-bits to arrive sometime in the future...
I haven't used Vista-64bit. But with XP-64 you could usually tell by whether an app installed in the 64bit folder or the 32bit folder. Anyone using XP-64?
And anyone with Vista-64 can you answer how the Program Files structure is setup for 64 and 32 bit applications?
A good fuctional titler sans fromage.
Also VP8 loads like lightening on our machines.
Small thing, but it's nice to have it there quickly,----chop chop.
OH! OH! The wood grain themes have been retained in DVD-A 4.5.
Thank goodness!!!
I installed the trial version too. Off the main web page. It asked me to register now or via another computer. Attempting to do this brought up my Vegas7 (and before) details - well I'm not a new customer and I already had Sony stuff loaded up. Registering clearly was quite well thought out as this activated my TRIAL. 30 days.
So "make like you've bought it already" and you should be OK.
Hopefully purchasing won't upset the way the trial is limited but I'll re-install windows at that point if I have to!
