V10 is a new version. Added some new features, the main one being 3D stereo vision support.

Thanks DaveT2. I don't find any discussion on V.9 around here. Was that version not very popular?

Pro 9 was a version that a lot of us loved to hate.
I never bothered installing it on my machines (home and work) because of all the bugs.
Most of them finally got sorted out by 9.0d but it was too late for a lot of us who just stayed on Pro 8.
Pro 10 has it's own unique bugs that are, for the most part, resolved.
10.0d (bring it on please!!!) will hopefully address the remaining concerns.

v10 carries bugs that were introduced with v9. Hope for 10d.

Here is one editor who says the VP9e is 10 times more stable than VP10c. I'm surprised others haven't already said pretty much the same.

Thanks Erik. I have had it for less than a year and have not had any problems with VP9e.

I currently have the program on my laptop and would like to also have it on my desktop computer. I know the program is registered with a machine code, but is there a way to also have it on my desktop computer without causing problems with Sony?

I have installed the same serial number of Vegas on different computers without any problems. Am I missing something?

You're missing nothing. The EULA says you can install it on as many computers the license holder owns AS LONG AS you're only using one computer at a time.

You can run as many instances on that single machine as you want though.

Well... there is only one of me so I can only use one machine at a time. However, I was concerned about there being a problem with registering the new installation on the desktop computer and/or future support/upgrades.

Thanks for the info everyone.

The worst thing that could happen is that your new registeration is automatically denied because you've registered to many times. You'll need to contact support to solve the issue. Make sure you do this during support hours if you are worried.

I've never had a copy max out on installs.
