Vegas Pro crashes either when starting, and or rendering

James-Segwell wrote on 5/14/2024, 4:34 PM

I've been having this problem lately (Windows 10) where Vegas crashes either when starting the program, and if and when it starts normally, it crashes on rendering. I have tried various versions, up to v21.0.0.208. Problem details below. No idea why it suddenly started having this behaviour. Any help appreciated.

You must ALSO install the Deep Learning Models specific to the exact Vegas version and build number you have just installed. The dedicated Deep Learning Models associated with your Vegas 19 build 381 will not work with anything else.

I have been using Vegas for years without a problem, and without the Deep Learning Modes installed. My suspicion is that it may have something to do with, either some recent Microsoft updates, or some tweaks Vegas doesn't like. I also work with Davinci Resolve which always works flawlessly. Who knows.

There is a new build of 21 out today, 21.314 you might try.

If the deep learning module is not installed, you may experience crashes or find that some effects do not function properly. Installing this module is crucial.
