Vegas Pro crashes if text copied from browser/app to paste into marker

Hello I have a new Vegas Pro issue that has started this month.

If I have a project open in my left screen and I copy text from a browser or programme in my right monitor, Vegas Pro starts doing the blue wheel thing and you can't immediately paste.

It does eventually come back to use and not crash, but this delay as the wheel whirs makes doing everything so slow.

Like many, I have frequent crashing problems, but this situation is new and it is making doing the markers for chapters in video projects so laborious and frustrating.

Does anyone please have any suggestions or solutions as to why this may be happening?

Thank you.

I cannot confirm, copying text from browser and pasting text into marker of Vegas, no problem.

Yes until this month this has all been working fine so not sure what is going on. It seems to be having an issue if I go into different programs now. Not sure if this is yet another ongoing issue with the AMD drivers.

Actually it isn't when I copy and paste, it is whenever I go into another programme outside of Vegas Pro. Then when I go back into Vegas Pro it does the blue whirring wheel again. If anyone knows what is happening here I would be grateful.

... whenever I go into another programme outside of Vegas Pro. Then when I go back into Vegas Pro it does the blue whirring wheel again ...

Go to Options/Preferences/General (tab) and uncheck 'Close media files when not the active application' - this should get rid of the spinning blue wheel when flipping from another window back into Vegas Pro. The larger the project on the timeline the longer the blue spinning wheel delay.

But you'll need 'Close media files ... ' checked if you want to access another program (e.g. an audio editor) directly from an event on the timeline.
