I thought I saw on Reddit it was not working. I would not expect it to work and if it did not at a reasonable speed. I'd use M1 native software.

Just get a PC. The M1s are overrated.

Similar history for me. I've been using Vegas for years in Bootcamp. Bought an M1 with Parallels and it's been frustrating. Talked to all levels of support. Finally got Vegas to install, but it crashes every time. Bottom line: Don't buy an M1 and expect Vegas to work on it. Either get FinalCut for Mac, or follow @fr0sty's advice.

M1 is actually very very good. Resolve playback on that device is just effortless. I really hope to see VEGAS on apple product.

You can get a far more powerful PC notebook for the same price. The only thing the M1 has going for it is hardware ProRes acceleration... if you happen to shoot on ProRes, and apparently that only works in Final Cut.

Well, I guess this answers part of my question in my other thread. Avoid Mac M1s for Vegas
