Vegas Pro license

It's my understanding that the Vegas Pro license allows for the NLE to be used by two computers.
Maybe a myth?
Attempting to load VP9d onto second computer to do some capturing for an SD project.
Error says "exception thrown by method called, details, "failed to initialize script host".
Maybe I just use Movie Maker to capture.
Any caveats?

you can use it on as many computers as you own, as long as only 1 instance at a time is running.

The exception is the network rendering, each license of vegas allows for three computers for network render at once.

odds are you have a .net issue on your computer.

"as long as only 1 instance at a time is running"

But I am allowed to run more than one instance on a particular computer, am I not?

Yes, feel free to run as many instances as you want to.

Definitely. You can run as many "instances" of Vegas on the same machine as you like or can be handled. What was meant is that technically you can't run one license of Vegas on two separate systems at the same time. But this would not prevent you from installing Vegas on two separate systems. Install problems can occur. Generally it's some system problem (registry issues or driver conflicts) or it's just a bad download of Vegas. First thing is to do the download over. Second is resolving system issues. 9.0d is loading fine for most of us.

yes, I'm sorry, I mistyped. I meant to say you can only run it on one computer at a time.

Yes, but we can only CAPTURE with one instance at a time.
Rendering several projects at a time is doable with different instances of Vegas, but CAPTURING is a different matter.
Using Movie Maker on the other machine.
No reason why the quality would be inferior, right?
Guess there are other capturing programs I should look into.
