Vegas Pro Trial Question

i was thinking of downloading the trial but I wanted to know how it worked exactly. Is time based, like a 30 day limit, or is it project based, like you do only 3 projects and that's it? I know some products use this method. I just have a few ideas to try and I wouldn't be able to squeeze them all in a 30 day trial.

It's a time limited trial, but 30 days is plenty of time to decide whether you want to buy.

this sounds stupid, but you could always download the trail & see. :) You don't need to use it once you install it1 (i've uninstalled many trials that don't allow me to save: they don't help me one bit!).

you can do as many projects as you want in the 30 day window - it won't let you upgrade to 8.0c though (at least not when I tried it). You can download DVDA trial too 4.5 but not 5.0 as I remember.

That's actually not the case. Vegas Pro 8.0c and DVD Architect 5.0a are available as trials. The only limitation is that the Vegas Pro 8 trial does not include the AC3 encoder. Also, 8.1 is not available as a trial.

if you have an older version of SONY vegas (specifically the sony names ones) the mpeg-2 & ac3 encoders work too. :D
