My Vegas Pro 14 prompted that a new update is available. I clicked on Download button, but downloaded installer is Vegas Pro v14 Build 252, which is already installed Nice to nknow that update option partly works, but why cannot figure out that available update is already installed????

April 1st is gone. MAGIX decided to play April Fool a bit late. Confusing users to uninstall and install the same version!!!! What a waste of time. Can't they code a good Software Updater option?

Same here! Everytime I restart Vegas the "New version available" shows up. I installed it 3 times before I realized it had already been succesfully installed. Not a big problem though. The good news is:

But the render presets are back! Yeah!! Thanks Magix and the Vegas team for your hard work!

It would be nice if a build number was mentioned, seeing as it is not intelligent enough to know what build is installed.

It is meant to do some install and uninstall exercise before editing a video :-) (sarcasm)

As you say, "it is not intelligent enough..." So, if you check the box "Do not show again", when next update/build is released, it will not tell you. 😷

Hmm - I have Vegas Pro 14.0 build 211 (64 bit) installed and it is not telling me anything about an update being available. Am I missing something (it is activated on this PC)?

I am pretty sure that only build version 252 contains the new update notification window. So only people who had already installed the latest build update will see this new annoying loop error in the program. All previous build versions before #252, do not contain the update notice window.

OK, after finding another thread where they talked about build 244 (with the notification window), I downloaded and installed build 244 which then when starting prompted me to install build 252 which I did. As others have observed, then 252 informs me there is a new build, but when I click install, it wants to download the 252 build again. Oh well, at least I am caught up now - 211 was what I had installed when Magix first sent me the links and keys for my new version. Aint technology wonderful????? :-)

Build 252 Update Notification is meant to make Vegas Pro users professional "Installer" & "Unistaller" by going through the install & uninstall practice before you edit a clip :-)

Still in VP14 B211. Presently I'm staying with 211.

Actually it was introduced in build 244 but there was no news to display until after 252 had been released and installed by many. Changelog. Early adopters of build 244 inadvertently saw a test message from the news server.

So only people who had already installed the latest build update will see this new annoying loop error in the program.

Not really an error. Just check "Do not show this message again".

It's still there but has changed description:
