Vegas problems(DSP Factory & 32 bit audio files)

Hi
I'm having a problem with the DSP Factory and Vegas. With
eight stereo buses enabled, if I insert 1 direct x efx as a
bus insert or an efx send playback will stutter and
stop.Sometimes the tracks fall out of sync with each other.
The ram usage never gets higher than 43/128.Basically mixing
with the dsp factory is impossible.
Also I tried to import audio files recorded in Vegas to
Logic Audio.Logic said the files are 32 bit and cannot be
opened.Does Vegas record at 32 bit?Would I have to dither
all my tracks to 24 bit to transfer them to another app?

Also is there a way to compact audio files? Say you use only
30 seconds of 3 min sound file, can you delete the unused
audio? It would save some hard disk space.

Which FX are you using?

Is all your source media at 24 bit and the same sample rate?
Are you playing audio through all the busses - i.e. are tracks
assigned or FX routed to the buses?

I tried using Waves Renaissance Compresser as a bus insert and
Timeworks Reverb as an efx send routed thru bus D.

I have some 16 bit drum loops. The audio I recorded into Vegas says its
32 bit(?) in the properties window

The audio is going thru the buses.I'm trying to send audio to LUI(an
app that controls dsp factory)

I'm having the same problems. But I'm using only 16 bit files. The
plug-ins I've tried are TC Native Essentials Reverb, Waves RCL and
Sonic Foundry Reverb (using only one of these at a time). Each time
I plug-in one of these effects, the system (a Celeron 400 with 256MB
of RAM) stutters and falls out of sync. And I'm running only 6 or 7
tracks, so I shouldn't be taxing the system. Vegas seems to be an
incredible resource hog.
