Ahhh what the hell - don 't mean to kiss ass like this but here goes.

Had a MAJOR deadline due - I'm talking about the kind where you are calculating render time so you can make it on time - the kind where you are pulling an all nighter - ugly death slog at 24pa!

Vegas came through without a hitch...
"It was worth the wait" from client...

I had a deadline to meet, sounds similar to yours where you're calculating render time, but I *DIDN'T* make it...that is because I wasn't working with Vegas...I was using something else.

Never had a problem again, once I started using Vegas.

Tried Premiere for two infernal weeks then switched to VV3 at that time. Just the 1:30 hour tutorial and I was ready to go a LOT further than with the other product...

A lil' $0.02 kiss azzing and bashing altogether...

All those years working with Premiere... I thought I was just getting tired of being in the film and media business. After switching to Vegas, I realized I was just tired of Premiere.

Well, I haven't used Premiere anywhere near as much as AVID or Vegas but have used it enough to not like versions 5.1RT, 6,02 and 6.5. Premiere Pro with the Matrox RT X100 Pro is actually pretty good if you like the AVID style interface and are fond of reading manuals. My wife loves Premiere Pro but I think much of that has to do with the RT Matrox board. Would I trust a software only manifestation of any version of Premiere or AVID to finish a job? Not a chance. Vegas/Sound FOrge are two of the nicest programs I have ever used and the only products I ever liked enough to bother with their associated forums.

I find Herr Zippy's occasional input entertaining, especially when he infuriates the regulars.

I not only enjoy working with Vegas, but I find it also makes me look 10 pounds thinner and my teeth have never been whiter. I've become the focus of attention at cocktail parties and women seem to flock to me for some reason.
