Vegas render percentage progress window not showing??????

TheSoundTV wrote on 8/17/2023, 1:51 PM

Once again I am very disappointed with the program. For absolutely no reason, the program decided to make it so that I don't have the render field that appears to everyone when you run the render. There is no information about it anywhere or anything. I tried reinstalling the program, but it didn't work. I am appalled how it is possible for my work to be halted several times every year because of such absurd bugs. I'm currently rendering a clip and I don't have the window you all have to see the percentages and how much time is left. I am really rethinking my work with this program. And yes, by the way, there are times when it crashes constantly. At least 5 times a month the program just crashes.

At my knowledge, you're the first one who reports this issue. Probably it's not a Vegas issue but an issue with your hardware, drivers etc.

It's not for the first time ,look at this post

3POINT wrote on 8/17/2023, 2:18 PM

Did you try the suggestions made in that post?

TheSoundTV wrote on 8/17/2023, 2:19 PM

All of them and no one works.

3POINT wrote on 8/17/2023, 2:31 PM

And you're using the latest build 411 of VP20?

TheSoundTV wrote on 8/17/2023, 2:32 PM

Yes

3POINT wrote on 8/17/2023, 2:55 PM

I have no further solutions. Does it affect the render process? A rendering progress bar is nevertheless shown at the left bottom corner of the UI.

What I do when weird new $#!T happens; I get out the Macrium Reflect USB bootable media and restore the system image back to a time when everything worked. I've gotten too old to shoot ticky-tacky bugs that "just happen".

In lieu of an image backup, Uninstall / reinstall . I usually recommend using a third-party uninstaller like 'Revo Uninstall' that can remove the left-over registry entries and other pertinent data the OS uninstall leaves behind, which can cause an issue to reoccur.. Revo Uninstall has a pro and freeware versions. The free version is adequate in most cases,

@jay-aero Go to c:\users\(your username)\app_data\local\VEGAS Pro\20.0 and delete the file "RenderingDiaglog.setting". Then try running VEGAS again and launch a render.

@TheSoundTV @relaxvideo @jay-aero ,

How about installing this?

https://www.semw-software.com/en/extensions/

Look at the features tab, it has exactly all information a render window should have.

* I run VP19 and loves it.

** 10 years old... Why it never been implemented into the software itself?
