Vegas rendered for DVDA but still needs rerender?

Used the widescreen render in Vegas to get my clips ready for DVDA, only to find I had to re-render them all in dvda. I did create a custom profile in Vegas for the render. All I changed was quality to best, and clicked the audio check box so audio would be rendered as well. All this under MPEG-2.. Were these changes what made them need to be re-rendered? If so what is the recommended render settings to have high quality video with audio rendered for dvda? Thanks This is a widescreen 16:9 project.

You have to render the audio separately. Render the video using the DVD Architect video template, and render the audio using the AC3 template. There are Vegas scripts available that will do this in one step.

where can one fine these scripts? is this really the only way to do this? When you render separately, do they sync up with no problems?
