Vegas Rendering Issues

Hi,
I have Vegas 6 and having trouble capturing mony Sony DV camera. When I plug in the camera, the windows box pops up asking what to capture with, I select V6, once in capyure mode, v6 does not see the camera. I have tried several different ways to make it work with no suceess.

However, V6 can see and capture my Sony HDR-HC1(High Def) camera, and captures it just fine.

Also, my Sony DV camera can be captured by Windows Movie Capture, so I know its not the cameras fault.

Ideas???

When you invoke capture in Vegas, choose the "External Video Capture Application" (for DV...) when prompted.

Options - Preferences - Video
Make sure "Use external video capture application" is selected and that it points to
C:\Program Files\Sony\Vegas 6.0\VidCap60.EXE (or wherever your system drive is).
