Vegas renders often blank

Hey. I'm a longtime, very regular user of Vegas - about 10 years. I recently switched from Vegas 9 to 11. My job requires me to make all kinds of audio files, as well as of differing sample and bit rates. I make many, many audio files in a given week. Since using Vegas 11, I've been encountering a lot of blank renders - about 25%. I have to check every file that goes out the door for in fear of sending clients bum files. There's nothing consistent about the issue. I can split a long form single track into 8 parts, and perhaps only one of them will be blank. (And no, nothing's muted.) It can happen to a low quality stereo mp3 or a mono wav file that's 24 bit.

Again, because it's totally inconsistent, it's difficult for me to figure out a pattern. I run a lot of programs at once, but that's never been an issue with versions 7 or 9. I run dropbox in the background, so perhaps the syncing of audio files (if Vegas is accessing the file while it's syncing) is a problem. I have no idea.

This is happening upwards of 6-7 times a day, so any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Sounds a lot like audio drivers or buffers. Poke around there.
Make sure no other audio applications (not even players) are open at the same time as Vegas.

Rendering is independent of audio hardware and drivers, as well as project audio settings.

Thanks for the replies.

Peter, in your opinion, what is it then?

A good friend of mine who's in the same industry was a beta tester for Vegas for a very long time, and he said he encountered the same problem without any solution.

It's happening so often that I'm probably just going to revert back to an earlier (apparently more stable) version if I can't resolve this.

I emailed Sony 5 days ago and received no reply. Thank you to the 2 independent folks who have.

Inconsistent behavior is hard to debug.

A general approach and the workflow you follow would us to reproduce the problem in house.
