I would like to host a gathering of Vegas/DVDA users for a Vegas Retreat
The location will be in San Jose, California, and the venue depends on the number of participants. If there are only three or four people coming, then it will be in my living room. If there are twelve people, I can rent a classroom where each of us has a PC to use.
The Retreat date is to be determined by the participants from either Saturday, February 25 or Saturday, March 4.
The Vegas Retreat is an informal, unscripted gathering of Sony Vegas and DVDA users to share our knowledge, tips and to get to know each other better. This is not a training seminar with a set agenda or curriculum. The retreat will be a group effort as the participants will suggest and select the topics that we will discuss at the retreat.
One of the most frustrating things about attending a seminar, class or off-line meetings at a trade show is the strict schedule that always seems to end a discussion just as the topic is beginning to make sense. We won't be watching the clock that closely at the retreat. It is planned to be a relaxed atmosphere, and the only schedule will be a list of topics to discuss, and in the order of the interest shown by the participants. We stop when we run out of time.
At the retreat we will start with the most popular subject in the list and work our way down until the end of the day. We will end the day at a nearby steak house for dinner.
Please participate in the Yahoo Group that I have created for this event. We will use polls and group messages to gather topics and to gain consensus of other details.
