Vegas Rocks-Sure hope the next editing release will

Vegas is an extremely kewl and easy to use solution, both
the audio and vide brands. I am sure hoping there will be
24 bit support, like Aaron C, for editing so that Other
products, like WL need not be used. Image a suite that is
fully self-contained; Vegas could Capture the market!!

The future is now!!

P.S. Remeber, SF, There are some Ral people out here that support
you...Think about them occasionally......

Time to move this platform to another level. Its pretty
obvious the new ease of editing changes in Nuendo 1.5 are
bites off of Vegas, how about turning the tables and
building in some SERIOUS hardware support for automation?

Using FX when going to multiple outputs is still a HUGE
problem, though those of us with mixtreme cards have a
useable workaround using the onboard DSP, but this problem
should be fixed

How about adding a "add COPY to batch" on the right click
menu for events?

How about 24 bit sound forge with a MUCH improved batch
converter? There is no reason to individually process a
zillion similar files, except that the batch can only go to
one folder at a time.

I hear that fxpansion tried to make a DX to RTAS adapter
similar to their dx to VST adapter but was halted by
digidesign...lame but with SF's market share it shouldnt be
impossible to make SFAS (sonic foundry audio suite) :)
plugins.

And speaking of plug-ins, kiss and make up with the borg
already...we need VST!

Also on the borg front: That ASIO direct monitoring RULES!
Only problem is ASIO's inability to run two cards at
once...with SF's record of compatiability with EVERYTHING,
you guys oughtta be able to make a sensible direct
monitoring setup. Please do

Really I dont want anything proprietary, but if thats what
it takes, then so be it.

Live inputs: I cant bring my hardware reverbs, flanges etc
back into vegas in real time...I realize i am stepping WAY
into windows limitations but how about this?
Have a latency delay read ahead compensation(or what ever
you want to call it) so that the send sends early to make
up for the latency, then make a dummy record track kinda
thing so we can hear the fx, then maybe a real record
button to catch it if we want?

direct-x 8: We were all looking forward to plugin parameter
automation on this but it doesnt look like dx8 works yet,
any other ideas on the burner?

WDM is this being looked at?

Anyways thats my rant for today, hardware control PLEASE!

Aaron: the Nuendo features you are referring to have been
there since the beginning! You are just beginning to get
the picture...
On another front, I totally agree with you on Vegas needing
harware control support (among other things). But then
again, Sordid Fraudy needs SERIOUS commitment to improving
their products. This commitment MUST include a real desire
to becoming an HONEST, RESPECTFUL software manufacturer. It
is pretty obvious that lying, blaming everyone else for the
shortcomings in their products, CHARGING pornographic fees
for tech support, erasing or ignoring LEGITIMATE posts,
etc. is not the way to go.

Have you noticed the SAD vibe in this forum lately?

How come this type of question is just ignored?

No comment needed...

100+ sound card manufacturers (virtually ALL of them!!!)
can't be wrong. Can they?

Two DIFFERENT cards...and not always. Check the RME website
for more info...

How can anyone dub a product "PRO" without this most basic
of all features? (remember "punch in/out on the fly?).

Happy New Year to friends and enemies. Special greetings to
the Chinese boy!

yuletidely yours,
