Speaking of advertising, I saw an add from SoFo in March's VIDEOMAKER for VEGAS. Maybe they will get a review now ... ;-)

they used to have those shirts with the "anvil man" a few months/years ago... so nice. Too bad it's not there anymore!

Hey, SoFo, time for a rerun on the Anvil Man Shirts!

Anvil man is GONE!
It's the new logo now...
FuTz wrote on 3/28/2003, 3:51 AM
OK.
Time for the "RIP Anvil Man" t-shirt now. Ha ha ha!!!

<Aside>
Anvil Studios was a legendary recording studio and dubbing theatre in Denham, just outside London, England. They did a lot of great stuff, like the music for Star Wars and a couple of things I was involved in (Oh, the power of language...). Around 1980 they moved into London and joined forces with another legend: Abbey Road Studios. Had to throw out Paul McCartney's personal tape archive to make room for the big dubbing projectors.

Where's the point? When I first learned about Sound Forge (my first SoFo app) I saw the anvil logo and thought: "This thing can't be all bad".

The new logo's nice too. I'd wear that.
FuTz wrote on 3/28/2003, 9:48 AM
Of course it's nice. I'd wear it too.
Oh yeah, speaking of the logo; what about the screensaver? I'm eager to see it!
SonyDennis wrote on 3/28/2003, 1:37 PM

The hammer guy (anvil man, whatever) still lives; the software division still uses him for box art and he makes appearances other places as well.

I really should write a screensaver; I wrote one for the last company I worked for, won a dinner at a super fancy restaurant, and proposed to my girlfriend. I wonder what would happen this time?

You guys have so much snow, I can see WHY you need a lot of them during those cold winter days... Being a canadian, I rrreally know about this issue... ;D
TorS wrote on 3/28/2003, 4:22 PM
You use them to shovel away the snow, right?
