Vegas Studio 9 Crashing when rendering

Hi,
I have Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9 platinum and everytime I try to render video footage in AVCHD 1920x1080 it stops working after about 20 minutes of rendering. This happens with video footage over approx 5 minutes. Why is this? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program and this hasn't helped. Also the program won't recognise DVD architect, it says that it's not installed on the computer, even though it is. Any ideas how to fix these issues?

My computer has an Intel Core Duo processor at 2.13GHz, and 4GB RAM.

Thanks in advance

You need to apply this: http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?MessageID=697122&Replies=64
SonyAVC is known to run out of the 2 GB RAM limit of 32bit apps (even if your PC has 4 GB), and crash.

Many thanks. Do you know why it's not recognising DVD architect?

Ever since I updated to Vegas 9, now I am using Platinum 10.0 I have had issues with rendering videos either crashing or when they are played after rendering they are horrible quality and after not being able to find a fix that worked I started using Windows Live Movie maker for all of my HD video and it works fine with no problems. Pretty pitiful I have to resort to the "Free" version from Microsoft when my commercial Sony product will not handle my needs. Anybody else ever tried Windows Live Movie Maker when Vegas is crashing? BTW since my original problem I have purchase sony upgrades and even bought a whole new computer hoping it would help but it has made no difference. Currentl running new HP Touch smart 610 Core I7 with 8GB ram 1GB video card, etc so its nothing to do with hardware. I know there are probably fixes out there but I have not been able to find one that works for me?
