Vegas Studio 9 PL new user help!

Hello; My name is Big Ed and i just bought the Vegas Movie Studio 9 Platinum. I also just bought a Sony Handycam 810. Im average on the PC and hope to be able to make, edit and create some basic home movies with little features like adding my Itunes music to DVD's. I would appreciate any help in getting started. I live in the Los Angeles area and need some training. Is ther anywhere i can go to get the kind of training i need to get me started?

Hello Big Ed, welcome to the forum. Congratulations on your purchases. For starters, I would recommend the Show Me how tutorials right in VMS. Help > Show Me How.

There are many threads on this forum that have links to tutorials. Click on the Search link at the top of the page and search for "tutorial".

You can also find many tutorials on YouTube. While they're mostly for the full version of Vegas, they'll give you and idea of what you can do.

Welcome aboard! I will add that there are numerous tutorial videos on YouTube. Just go to YouTube and then search on "Vegas Movie Studio" and you'll get lots of hits, many of which will show you how to do various things with VMS. Good luck and let us know how you are progressing.

Vasst Training has a Movie Studio training DVD that I purchased that is really helpful. It's over 5 hours long and it also goes over DVD Architect and cinescore , not cheap but very helpful. The people on this forum are great. They also have been a great help.
