Vegas Suite will not install - stops with NewBlueFX

Chanimal wrote on 9/22/2016, 10:55 PM

Is anyone else having install problems with Vegas Suite? I run the installations and everything is fine until I get to the NewBlueFX install.  It asks me to log into the app manager.  It won't accept my previous login, won't allow me to login with new info, it just gives me an error. If I try to recover my password, I get another error.  As such, my installation is stuck at about 80% (although it says the apps are installed), but there are NO installed apps--not on the desktop or within Windows 10 (only a NewBlue install shows up and an uninstall the suite).

As such, I am dead in the water--no software that I can use.  Then, when I got to Magix support, I cannot find the location to get support--it doesn't list the Vegas products yet.  I will probably have to call (but my day's are booked with consuling calls and I want it to work by the weekend).  Disappointed (mainly at NewBlueFX (their stuff always seems to have problems)).

I may try uninstalling (PAIN) and installing one app each time--if it will even work. Not a good first experience.

There seems to be a problem with their servers. Trying to register gave an error that my e-mail address was already on file, No passwords I use worked, and when trying to change the password I'd get a 500 error. I'll be contacting them in the morning to clarify, if they give any quick fix that can be done on the user end I'll post it here.

Frosty - yep, that's the same problem I had (I didn't get an error 500, but a similar network error).  I am wrong--it was an error 500.

Anyone with problems logging into their NewBlue account, please contact NewBlue. Many times the issue is that the account was never activated. Whatever, the issue, the password can be changed for you so you can log in.

I was able to go directly to their website to check my old login and password, which took me all night to figure out.  Once I did that I was able to log in through the registration checker that pops up in VP14.  Now the only thing NewBlue I see is Titler Pro and no FX.  I will post that issue in a better place, but just in case anyone has that issue maybe they can pass along?

Look on the VideoFX tab. Scroll to the bottom and you will see several NewBlue categories listed there. Look inside those categories to see the effects. The effects will be in the main list as well. However, the effects do not start with the name "NewBlue" and are, instead, intermixed with the built-in effects. You can also see them under the 3rd party category.
