I can not get the clocks on the digi 001 / vegas to sync with the digital 328 -

This card was used in a mac w/ protools into the optical with no problems, but if I pull the card into my xp machine using vegas with the asio drivers, if I choose the optical out it is static - which leads me to think it is a clock issue (as well as digi support) however I cant get them synced - I've gone through every setting in the asio driver setup & the board clock settings, but cant find a match -

any ideas??
