Vegas to Flash

Can anyone tell me where to find and buy the cheapest, (hey free would be nice too), software that will be dummy proof to convert a Vegas movie to Flash? Eugenia gave step by step directions a while ago and somehow I screwed it up. What I am trying to accomplish is posting a file to my website that will allow people to view the movies without waiting forever while an MPEG or a WMV file loads and also a way to burn the movies onto a CD to give to my clients.

The easiest way to do this is to move to Premiere and Flash, by buying Adobe's Premiere Elements for $90.

Now, there are other cheaper solutions out there, but if you want the most integrated solution, you will have to go with Adobe's Premiere that has Flash export, and not with Vegas. With Vegas it will always be a two-stage export.

Thanks for your ideas. I would like to keep using Vegas as I am on the down side of the learning curve, I think! ;-) I don't really care about the steps or time involved. Can either of you suggest what software I would need to do the conversions cheaply and with great quality?

Riva, http://www.rivavx.com/?encoder, may be worth a look. I produced something with it a year ago, but I can't remember how well it worked.

Google Super. It is a program (free) that you can drop almost any format video file into and convert it to almost any other format.

OK, I downloaded Super and ran it. The resulting file ended up as the following: ron'smovie.mwv.flv
It doesn't play on my site either. As usual I feel and AM a complete moron. Please help guys!!!

The problem seems to be that you don't understand how to write the code to include the FLV file, not how to create the FLV file. Again, you will have to either buy Premiere Elements for that, so it creates BOTH the flv AND the HTML code you need, or go back to my tutorial and read it very, very carefully.

This is a matter of sitting down and getting learn HTML.

A couple of questions from a real newbie to video and the Sony site
Where do I find Eugenia's tutorial? And any comments about the quality of results after the conversion to flash, I see huge variations in the sites I visit and I'm not sure if this is because the original was shot with a cell phone or there are some parameters which can be tuned when creating the file.
