It runs on my 64bit Win7 laptop perfectly fine.

I use v9 32 bit on win 7 64 just fine. There is a 64 bit ver, but many of my plugs were not ready for 64 when I upgraded. I have looked at 10, 11 and 12, the only thing that I really miss is better support for AVCHD footage. (I still transcode for these)

Vegas 9 32 bit on Win 7/64 worked perfectly here - as Vegas 11 32 bit does it today.
You might have applied the 2 GB hack to your running 32 bit Vegas 9 - so do not forget how to do that if you change to a new machine :- )

Oh please, tell me more about the 2gb hack.

If your 32 bit version works well now you do not need to change anything when you install it on 64 bit Windows.

It is an old Windows memory issue and the "2GB hack" may be needed even for Microsofts own programs like the flight simulator.

I used 32bit V9 on 64bit Vista Business OS. It worked well, and so does the 64bit V9.
