Vegas Video 3.0 wont except .mov format? What's happening?

I bought VV3 about a year ago and I have since been unable to upload any of the video clips from LiveStockFilm, that came on the VV3 cd. I thought that VV3 could upload .mov, but mabee not?? When I try to load it, it says "The file is a unsupported format" Why is the quicktime format unsupported?

You MUST have the 'recommended' or full Quicktime application load. If you only install the player, Vegas has no reader to decode the QT files with. So, go to www.quicktime.com and download the latest installer, this time selecting the 'recommended' download vs just downloading the player. Then Vegas will be able to read the files.
