I do alot of prosumer video for weddings, schools, etc.....
One thing that would save me SO MUCH time is if vegas offerd a plug-in that would allow you to group 50-300 pictures and assign them each with an individual transition. I just made a video for my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary and it had a section of about 200 pictures and I had to drag and drop every transition. I know nothing about programming so I dont know if this would be difficult to perform, but it would be a REAL timesaver. Just an idea.

ohh yea... first post and proud owner of vidfactory->VV2->VV3

It _would_ be nice to be able to set the default transition. But I'd never use anything but a crossfade (or cut) for most pics anyway.

After about my 30th pic I'll start adding fancy transitions maybe every 8th-10th or so. I don't want the transitions detracting from the subject. And once the template is done there's no need to redo it for subsequent projects.

More importantly, since VV3 does it so well and easily, I now do a generic pan/zoom every 4th pic. Again, no need to redo all of them once the template is done, but I must go through manually and make sure none of them zooms to/from the wrong place.

And you may want to advise the clients to cut down on the pics. The largest template I have is 220 pics and as I recall that was a 20 minute bore-fest.
For a school though and they didn't sit and watch it (whew!) but just sold it with the graduation video.
