I am running on a MAC and using VPC 6. The VPC folks have told me that it does not emulate the FireWire Port and that I need to capture the footage on the MAC, copy it over and edit. The only problem I am running in to is that Vegas Video wont open the footage. Any help would be great!
I am having a similar problem with VV 3.0 (PC version) There are MPEG files that I can play in Windows Media, Quick Time and Realplayer...but can't open in VV 3? It says unsupported format? But I can open other types including MPEG 1 & 2
Well Joseph... stop and think. If Vegas runs slow on your PC, how much slower do you think it will render if emulated on a Mac? Vegas doesn't support the Mac OS, never has, probably never will. My guess, in part for the same reason Final Cut Pro doessn't run under Windows, never has, probably never will. BTW, Vegas is much better than FCP, for those wondering, you're not missing anything.
See the writing on the wall... Adobe recentled announced that its flagship product Photoshop long the darling of the Mac crowd will no longer be written for Macs. Ditto for the upcoming Encore. Its is Windows world if Mac users like it or not.
