Vegas Video LE vs. Video Factory

On a recent news release, SF announced that they have partnered with Canopus to bundle Vegas Video LE with Canopus products. My question is, what is the difference between VV LE and VF? They seam to be very similar, but VV LE does not seam to be available to purchase either by download or retail.

Anybody know anything about this?

There isn't a direct comparison of the two, but you can view each product compared to the full version of VV3.

They look very similar - with a few minor exceptions. VF will burn an audio cd or VCD. VF has an MPEG1 encoder included. VV3LE requires you to purchase a plugin encoder for both MPEG1&2. (VF requires the plug-in purchase only for MPEG2)

It's not surprising it isn't for sale. It's not that much different from VF - and it is typical for a number of software vendors to have LE versions that are sold specifically when bundled with hardware.

Vin,

That's pretty much what I figured.
