Vegas vs resolve color curves....

in resolve color curves, I can grab the lower left DOT or upper right DOT and pull it left or right or up or down. dissapointed to find in Vegas, one of the dots won't move until I double click creating another POINT to drag around. Why can't the lowest and highes POINTS be grabbed and moved on the outlines freely? Is there a switch I need to flip?

Clicking into the white area of the fx editing window first, it will allow you to drag the dots up and down.

The reason for that is because when you open up the curves window both the endpoints are selected and all selected point move together. Clicking a blank area deselects all selected points. Why are all points selected at start? Who knows.

In the start situation, you cannot drag the lower left up because the upper right is at (defaults) max. Same for dragging the upper right down. Lower left is already at min.

Because I grade in Resolve, I had the very same question. (Why can't Vegas curves behave similarly?!) Now I know, too. Thanks.
