I installed Vegas Post to my computer, installed NO errors, Registered Successfully, CLICK to open, stats to open then nothing, NO error messages. I have used Vegas for years and this is an upgrade install, Vegas 16 is already on the system
There may be no error messages, but that the install has stooped at 'ASIO Driver Magix Low Latency 2016 ...' strongly suggests that there is a conflict on your computer with ASIO drivers. Do you have third party ASIO drivers installed maybe from an audio card? If so, are its drivers up-to-date? Otherwise, what are your computer's specs?
@Jacki-Dempsey ... thank you for the information, but I suggest that you delete personal info like Device ID and Product ID from your comment because that info doesn't go to the specs of your computer and may expose your computer to unwanted intrusions.
I think I had Magix Music Maker installed that gave me the same errors with another program...Sonicfire Pro. I uninstalled it and SFP worked as it should.
I can't say that this will work for VP since I didn't have Vegas at the time.
No this is NOT a trial version I haver the Serial Number and Registration Key. It loads fine no issues and says it is ready to run. I click on the app it starts to load and just stops. No message at all.
This may - or may not - help but I had an ASIO problem on my computer from a long time ago - and the suggestion on a forum at the time was:
I just reinstalled my sound drivers, and error message came back:
CTAsio warning: There are no Creative audio products installed an running on the system that supports ASIO.
After pressing "OK", Vegas continues starting, and then works without subsequent errors.
There's a key: HKEY_Local_Machine/Software/ASIO (under it is only Creative asio with a CLSID)
I deleted "HKEY_Local_Machine/Software/ASIO" key again and Vegas (now 6.0) starts again without any popup.
I recommend you to check that key, and if it's present don't delete at first just rename ("___ASIO" for example) so you can easy restore if anything goes wrong.
This was probably in Windows XP days but Registry references maybe are still relevant even today, and I was using a Creative sound card at the time.
If you don't have any ASIO-based sound cards on either of your computers, then the ASIO error is just a little weird.
Thanks for the info but this is outside my wheel house. I have a ticket with the tech group so I think I will wait for them to respond I will let you know what happens.
