Starting with fresh new computer .... I hear mic, sythnthesiser, guitar etc from a small mixer board that runs through the computer but Vegas will not "Record" upon arming the audio track- tried both sets of Audio available i.e. Sound Blaster and the MB Audio with same results - changing the settings both in Vegas and Control Panel Audio Devices - this happened before and after a LOT of pidlleing about I got it to work but, alas, not this time!

Help?

that's what I don't know - now I've lost audio going through the audio card out to the speakers from the mixer board so I've plugged in the sythesizer staight into the audio card - still nothing - If I choose Sound Blaster I can see a small green fluctuating area in the Armed Track in Vegas when I hit a key but hear nothing - if I choose SIS Wave Audio in the Control Panel or Vegas the green area gets a lot bigger but stops fluctuating when I hit a key - still nothing audable

so now I've hooked the mixer board back up and am getting audio from it through the audio card out through the speakers OK but Vegas wouldn't have any of it ...

Do you have this card selected as your default audio inputs in Vegas prefs?
You might need to enable "What you hear" in your sound card settings.

Yeaps

You might need to enable "What you hear" in your sound card settings.

Don't see that particular setting ...

Starting from the top you have Audio Device Type of which I have Windows Classic Wave Driver selected otherwise everything gets greyed out. For all the other choices I have Creative Sound Blaster AudioPC selected. Tried all variations in there - changing one at a time and/or all to the SIS Wave etc but nothing - all other audio functions are working properly ... but no responce in Vegas Record mode ... :-)(
