Vegas Won't Open

Out of a clear blue sky, my Vegas program will not open. I have been using the program for months without any problems. Any ideas on what might have caused this to happen on my computer and how do I go about correcting?

Not sure on what caused it; it could be a plethora of things. How to fix it... the first thing I would try is to download the most current version from "Downloads" link on the gray bar above and then click on "updates".

See if that fixes the problem- if not, report back with more detail as to what happens or what error message you get or what you have recently installed or downloaded, etc.

Mary,
is it freezing on the splash screen? We recently discussed that here and it might be a hijack app. Do a search about one or two weeks ago.

..I had Vegas freezing on the splash screen, & finally got it load when I right clicked on the windows screen, hold it a second or so, then let go..

..I still have to do it occasionaly, as it doesn't do it all the time...

Definately run all spyware and antivirus checks. I had it just close down after the splash screen would open. Ended being I was using my normal edit computer online for a spell and probably grabbed something. If this doesn't help, try the uninstall / reinstall with latest build.
