Vegas Wont Render Projects. Period.

I have no less that 2 projects I started in Vegas 9. They will not render at all.
I get some crazy error message / exception (submitted about 85 times to sony, using the error message tool BTW) I debugged it down to 2 separate issues: 1 being an undetermined issue with the audio - 2 The video will render fine separately but there can be no gaps of any kind anywhere in the video timeline or it will crash. The Audio might be due to the plugins being on (TC electronics reverb?) or eq plugins (native to Vegas) I will let you know exactly the issue when I discover it. More to come

So far I have discovered the source of the issue with the audio - TC electronics Reverb is causing the rendering issue. Worked in Vegas 6.
Verdict: Sony's Problem. I can prove it with softice if you wish. I will load it up with a debug version of the application if I have to in order to prove it - just send me the debug version and an *.NMS file for the application.

Well, we can't send you a debug version. Sorry.

If you'd like to explain the discovery you made, I will make sure it gets looked at.

So, if you remove TC Reverb, the render works?

You've got it!! The render crashes totally due to the TC electonics reverb's interaction with Vegas 9. I removed the plugin from the plugin chain (track f/x chain) and used the cakewalk/sonar 4 sonitus reverb (not as good) instead and it rendered just fine. I will mention that these plugins are older (been using them for at least 8 years) in terms of design (pre- .net 1.1 days designed app) I was not automating the reverb (dynamically) or anything like that, just used the reverb statically. It also plays back just fine during real-time operation, and this occurs ONLY at render time. This plugin is very expensive, and I am not really happy if I have to trash it and get a new one.

Also a good tip would be for sony to suggest an alternative to the TC electronics reverb that IS compatible with vegas as a temporary solution, other than the one I mentioned. Cost is key as I am unemployed right now and looking for a job.

Since I am on the topic of cost-effective - is there any chance you guys are hiring for QA within the group? Since I have worked for ATI, Spacetec, Bose as a QE, build engineer, application engineer, etc. and I also worked at a TV station as an engineer, I think I would be an ideal candidate.

What version of the TC reverb are you using? (How old is it?)

Is this an older software only plug-in or a new hardware based plug-in?

The more details the better on the version you are using.

This is a older plug-in that is no longer in production. They replaced it with the power core which uses hardware to accelerate the system.
Would like for this plugin to work, as it is an excellent reverb.
I will try to find a version number for you...
